    Danke 1
    • Hello Peter. Yes, it was an intentional decision, part of a clean-up that I do with some very old models done with many mistakes. Some very old, low quality and long-un-supported models receive updates that fit a bigger picture. For many years now I'm supporting a creation of a bigger fleet of passenger coaches of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, and therefore other periods (usually represented by a minority of models) were abandoned. These two old models were very naive, had a lot of formal mistakes in details, paintscheme etc. and I have decided to rebuild them to fit a far wider fleet of DB coaches of the 1970s.

    • This was also my question.

I would suggestion was, you leave the old coaches

as they are and use a new KUID for the new one.

For me it is very confusing, using any consist, but there are

some "new" coaches inside, they don't suitable for this time.

    • I understand that some people might be confused with such decisions, but I have thought things over and decided to "clean-up" some kuids in this particular way. It's a long story:

-When creating these models 14 years ago I was much younger and did a lot of things straight out of enthusiasm, without proper knowledge, with lots of mistakes and decisions I wouldn't do today. Throughout those years I have heavily studied passenger coaches, bought a number of books and became much more precise with paintschemes, details, features of certain types of constructions etc. Other then that, I changed my approach to building models. I'm searching for subjects that allow a creation of the whole fleet of cars, allowing certain people to create a whole railway, instead of single models that have no wider connection.

With all the above mentioned, I don't want some of my old models made with lots of mistakes and quite naive to "fly around" the web because I'm simply ashamed of their poor quality and these mistakes. Today not only I would have made them on a different level, but I wouldn't make them in this particular period/paintscheme at all (because it makes no sense in a wider background).

And so the decission for an update with a slight change of the model's look was made. I was also preety sure that there is not many people who use rolling stock models from 2008 for a simple reason - they greatly and visibly unstick in a contemporary consist.

On the other hand, there is not many models that received update in such manner - I'd say about 5-10, including scenery objects.

I'm sorry if it caused you guys confusion. I have not made it with an intention to cause you trouble, but rather clean up my stable from shameful/un-qualified models and replace them with something I'm fully supporting. I believe a C4i-30 coach in DB paintscheme was very needed and will find much wider use then a 1930-1933 version.

Cheers and hope you'll find good use of these :)

      Danke 1
