watch me waste time as i make a fictional ICE high-speed rail route i'm working on.

  • hi trainz.de community!

it's been a long time since i've last made a thread on a forum (or interact in any forum at all, last time being literally years ago.) so i wanna first off, apologize if this thread may look like a mess. :grinning_face_with_sweat:

i want to share a project i've been working on for the past week, and i'd have to say after doing alot more research on top of what i know about DB and german railways, this is perhaps the most passion i've put into it.

this route will stretch roughly 160~180 kilometers, featuring two high speed ICE lines, with phase one stretching 120 kilometers and running at 300 km/h, and phase two, the second ICE line, stretching just 60 kilometers but runs slower at 250 km/h.

right now my main focus is on the first phase, which upon completion, i might decide on releasing it here or on the DLS for free as an "early beta". i'm still relatively far from finished, but progress has been shaping up rather well. with that said, i feel like i've done enough to be able to share some screenshots and give you guys a taste for what's to come. :fire:

any (constructive) critcism and comments would be appreciated! as my focus usually leans to japanese railways more than european/german railways.

here's the münhaus terminus, the final stop in phase one, greatly inspired by the real cologne terminus.

  • Looks great so far! Cologne Hbf is actually not a terminus, but it's still a cool old station.

I've been attempting to build similar high speed ICE lines as you for many years (or since my late teens in Trainz 2010/12 era) and I my impatience is far worse than yours. That's why I've been making mostly blank modules with "premade stations" for anyone to build their own high speed railways.

    thank you. :red_heart:

yeah, i agree, cologne is such a pretty station, probably one of my favorite old/historic stations.

i do the same thing, guilty as charged. i have all these ideas and work on projects like these and end up not finishing them ultimately, letting them catch dust for months. (or even years).

this is the most i've ever worked on a trainz route honestly, and there are some surveyor features on trainz 2022 that really help me with progress unlike trainz 12 where it takes more work.

  • hey guys!

it's been a good couple of days since i've last shared anything.

before you people ask; yes, i'm still working on this project and haven't abandoned it to catch dust, and yes, alot of progress has been made since my last post, though a bit slower.

but despite all of that, i am happy to announce that phase one is reaching its homestretch in terms of completion, i'd say around 65-70%. alot has been done, and while i don't have screenshots to share to you guys, i promise i'll get some screenshots to show proof soon. :fire:
