After some testing, I've found that the signals on the Slovak section of the original Central Europe Mini route that our Super Session runs on, still do not work after installing this latest signal script library, when running it under anything newer than TRS22 SP2. Did you ever test that? Possibly that's a known issue that can't be fixed? I don't know. But I thought I'd mention it. (Note that Eagle once told me that way back when he created the route he had some sort of problem with these signals. It seems possible that, at the time, in trying to get the signals to work, some change was made that the new script library doesn't know about.) I've recently started toying with TrainzScript myself, but I haven't looked into the details of this specific signal script library. So I've no idea atm what the actual issue might be.

As to your new loco script: awesome! I love that they are now able to flip their pantos upon changing direction! I wish more authors would bother to implement such details. Makes the experience so much more fun. (Suggestion: if you'd make that the default option, locos that are spawned from portals would also reliably use the correct panto.)

I noticed a tiny bug: some loco have their cabs numbered incorrectly. On one side, cabs are numbered "1" and "2", on the other side, they say "2" and "1" Probably simply the result of mirroring the model and forgetting to adjust for this detail.

Btw: I'd love to talk more about any and all of this, but I absolutely detest communicating through Web forums. The Web was never designed for this. Thus Web forums suck. Do note though, that we make these movies only made to draw attention to our Super Sessions. You can install and run our Super Sessions yourself! For free! Run them for days! Even screen-record them to make and publish your own movies!

Regarding time periods: I agree with your sentiments. 'Older' setting are more varied and thus per definition more interesting. In fact, I see no point in re-creating the world of today in Trainz. If you someone wants to see today's world, they can just go outside, right? Having said that, I do understand that there are practical hurdles in creating routes/trains representing older time periods (it seems harder to find proper documentation, for instance).

Finally, thank you kilanziom for your efforts to continuously provide the community with your lovely locos and wagons! They are being put to good use as we speak. You will see them in action in our next Super Session…

Note: we're not the author of this route, nor do we receive any money from this. We just feel it's worthy of more attention.

Our Super Sessions are free. The requirements of each Super Session are specified in detail on our Web site.

The only requirements that *might* cost you money, are the routes that our Super Sessions were made for. Everything else is on the DLS.

Most Trainz users today probably own both TRS19 and TRS22, in which case they already own the routes that they need to run our Super Sessions for Niddertal and Central Europe Mini.

The one thing people generally may not yet own is probably Swedaryn Island, given that that was released only about two weeks ago. I believe some of N3V's subscription models allow you to get stuff from their "Content Store" for free. Otherwise, I can heartily recommend you buy Swedaryn Island. It is probably today's pinnacle in Trainz route building. Given how well-made it is, its price of just €10,– is absolutely ridiculous. (If you do a Web search for "Trainz Swedaryn Island" you'll find a few videos. There is also a movie on our own site.)

As to N3V's pricing and bugs: I'm with you. But, that's not the subject of this thread

With pride and pleasure we introduce a new concept to Trainz:

We present to you sessions running dozens of fully automated trains, all on a full schedule of their own, performing different scenarios, all running simultaneously, interacting with each other, avoiding each other, working together. All shown through meticulously placed trackside cameras.

These sessions are semi-dynamically controlled, without time-tables, in order to ensure they are different each time you run them. Also, the longer you run the session, the more varied and unpredictable the scenarios will play out.

At session start, you are assigned a train at random. You'll encounter other trains, at random. Your train may have to wait for other trains – other trains may have to wait for yours. At any moment, you may select a different train. Sessions have no end. They run until you quit them. (Sessions have been tested to run at least 30 hours without failure.)

To clearly distinguish this concept from traditional Trainz sessions, we coin the term: "Super Sessions" (Using "super" in its original meaning of "above"/"beyond".)

Currently we offer three Super Sessions:

I apologize for any inconvenience, however the final effect and the expanded fleet possibilities are worth it. And one more thing - this is the last scheduled fix of this type for the historic fleet, you have my word on that.

Thank you for pointing to your new and updated materiel. Great to hear that you're extending and updating your impressive fleet! Especially interesting to hear you are working on SNCF materiel! We've long been wanting to build a french Super Session!

Unfortunately, N3V secretly killed certain signals in TRS22 SP3 and beyond, which means that both the Niddertalbahn and original CEM routes are now essentially dead. Under TRS22 SP3 and newer, no sessions work on these routes anymore, including our Super Sessions. Hence our extensive documentation on how to install the right kuids, using the right versions of TRS.

Therefore, it seems unlikely that we will ever update these two Super Sessions. It makes more sense to create new Super Sessions. For routes that N3V has not yet killed. ('though it is hard to keep up with their kill-rate…)

But we'd love to do something nice with your beautiful models in a future project. We're quite aware you made much more than we could cram into these 2 Super Sessions, and now that it turns out you are updating, and adding even more, that's all the more reason to look into a new project to somehow feature your children

Btw, any suggestions for new Super Sessions – which route you would like to see a Super Session on – are welcome. (Probably better to move that to a new thread though.)
