    Im Gegenteil. Fuer solche Kisten wurde nie hochwertiges Holz verwendet, sondern Abfaelle und viel Zopfholz. Wenn Du Dir die oberen (Zopf) eines Baumes anschaust, da sind die ganzen geilen Triebe die oft recht steil nach oben wachsen. Und so ein schraeg angeschnittener Ast wirkt ziemlich gross...

    Eine kleine Anekdote zum Thema drastische Verschlechterung der Lebensmittelqualitaet.

    Mein Vater hasste gruene Gurken, besonders deren Geruch (Ich spreche von den fruehen 60ern).

    Wenn meine Mutter fuer uns ihren leckeren Gurlensalat mit Dill und suesser Sahne zubereitete (mir laeuft das Wasser im Munde zusammen), fing mein Vater im Wohnzimmer nach dem ersten Schnitt an zu mosern ueber diesen "Gestank".

    Haette man ihm vor ein paar Jahren, als er noch lebte, eine geschaelte Guerke unter die Nase gehalten, haette er es nicht einmal bemerkt...


    Meine Frau hat das Rezept meiner Mutter geerbt und es einmal zubereitet, wir habe den Salat weggekippt...

    WIP: Fahrzeug zum Transport von Baggermaterial, 1860

    Diese Fahrzeuge wurden bei Baggerarbeiten in Fahrrinnen genutzt um den Aushub an eine geeignete Stelle zu schleppen. Mit einer Druckpumpe konnte der Boden geoeffnet werden um den Aushub zu entladen. Durch die beiden Schotten Vorne und Hinten schwamm das Fahrzeug auch bei geoeffnetem Boden.
